What sets INSAVIOR apart from its competitors is its holistic approach to the safety and protection of women. Our app features an SOS button with two distinct levels of danger, which, when activated, connects you safely and securely with your female community and designated emergency contacts, providing networking and immediate practical assistance.
Additionally, INSAVIOR offers support from experts, fostering an empowering community where women can share their concerns. Users have access to informative content, including articles and self-defense videos, as well as anonymous reporting features. INSAVIOR is an innovative tool that transforms women’s solidarity into actionable support through the effective use of technology.
Violence against women—whether in the form of femicide, assault, abduction, or harassment—remains a critical issue. Many women feel unsafe even in everyday situations, such as going for a walk or completing simple daily tasks, often experiencing a sense of isolation and helplessness. Tragic cases like Sarah Everard (London, 2021) and Laken Riley (USA, 2024) highlight the urgent need for immediate access to help. The lack of real-time connectivity with their surroundings and instant access to practical support can mean the difference between life and death in critical moments.
In moments of danger, safety is determined by two key factors: instant and practical help. Those already nearby are best positioned to assist. INSAVIOR has been developed to provide a controlled and secure method of instantly connecting women with others in their immediate surroundings, as well as with verified INSAVIOR users, at the push of a button—while simultaneously notifying their emergency contacts.
For instance, if the app had been active in the vicinity when Laken Riley was in distress, an alert could have been sent to nearby users, enabling rapid response and immediate support until authorities arrived. By establishing a real-time emergency network for women, the solution is designed to empower them to seek help when it matters most, protect one another, and ultimately save lives. INSAVIOR is intended to be more than a safety app—it is positioned as a movement that builds community, solidarity, and resilience.
Through the use of innovative technology and targeted awareness campaigns, the bystander effect is addressed, action is encouraged, and meaningful social change is driven. The platform not only enhances personal safety but also actively contributes to the reduction of violence against women and femicide, working toward a society where women feel safer, supported, and empowered.
The service is currently available to women aged 16 and older, with the long-term goal of extending support to those aged 16 and under. Initial market efforts are focused on Cyprus and Greece, with expansion planned for London, additional European countries, and ultimately, a global rollout. The widespread nature of violence against women underscores the significant market potential. In Europe alone, nearly 400 million women are affected, while the global figure exceeds 4 billion.
In the initial markets of Greece and Cyprus, INSAVIOR stands as the only private app specifically dedicated to women’s safety. On a global scale, the primary competitor identified is the “I’m Safe” app, which, although focused on women’s safety, is led entirely by men—including the founder, CEO, co-founder, and COO—raising concerns about the depth of understanding regarding the unique safety needs of women.
Unlike INSAVIOR, the “I’m Safe” app lacks a rigorous identification process; access is open without protective safeguards. In contrast, INSAVIOR employs a strict AI-driven KYC (Know Your Customer) system to ensure that only women aged 16 and above can use the platform, creating a secure and verified environment. Furthermore, while “I’m Safe” relies on connecting users to generic emergency contacts, INSAVIOR prioritizes connecting users with its verified female community and nearby emergency buddies. Generic contacts may be unavailable or too far to assist promptly, and though they may alert authorities, a critical response gap often remains.
INSAVIOR is designed to bridge this gap. The tragic case of Sarah Everard, abducted and murdered by a police officer, highlights the limitations of relying solely on institutional protection. Through advanced technology, INSAVIOR fosters a trusted network of nearby allies, providing women with immediate, community-driven support in moments of danger.
The team has been selected to participate in three prestigious incubator programs for startups: Elevate Bootcamp by Unity Growth, PwC Scale Up 2 Programme for Women Founders, and EUC Microsoft for Startups. Through these programs, invaluable opportunities have been provided to enhance skills, deepen understanding of the startup ecosystem, and receive mentorship from industry experts. Additionally, with their support, the official app has been successfully finalized, bringing the team one step closer to an official launch and revenue generation.

It all started in the time of a pandemic. Specifically March 2021. Where femicides, violence and abusive attitudes against women were rampant. Consistently front-page news and consistently front-page discussion on social media. A living nightmare. I was losing sleep. I felt like I had to do something. I felt complicit and part of the problem until I did something. We did something. We created INSAVIOR.
In 2023 there were 4,000 cases of violence against women in Cyprus, of which 800 were in immediate danger!
